I have to rant about this because for someone that has dealt with cash and selling merchandise for 5 years, this is a never ending problem.
For the most part, I sell $2/$3 items and I carry around a money bag collecting money from customers. A majority of the time, people will hand me $20 and I’ll end up handing back one dollar bills in change because everyone else has taken all my 5s and I spend half my time calling a manager for change.
If you ever go out and buy items with cash, please please please carry around all sorts of bills instead of expecting everyone to have change. Although it’s convenient for you, it’s super annoying for us.
